Presentation to Paul Ingram

Paul has conducted the SCO for ten years, during which time the orchestra's capability has risen dramatically. The SCO has widened its repertoire considerably to include many of the major orchestral challenges of the 19th and 20th century. Some of the highlights have been Saint-Saens’ Organ concerto, Mahler Symphony No. 1, and Shostakovich Symphony No. 7, as well as piano concertos and cello concertos.

In recognition of this achievement, the chairman Richard Sharman presented Paul with an engraved glass bowl and a card signed by all the members of the orchestra which Paul acknowledged, saying how he looked forward to the next ten years. The SCO thanks him for his commitment and wishes him well for the future.
